RSAF Open House 2011 – F-16C/D

RSAF Open House 2011: F-16C/D Fighting 

The second aircraft in this RSAF Open House series is the Lockheed Martin F-16C/D Fighting Falcon. Flying display was performed by 2 F-16C Block 52 from 143 SQN based in Tengah Airbase. The Block 52 F-16C includes many improvements ranging from better radar, operating range and capabilities to fire AIM-120 AMRAAM, AGM-65G Maverick and AGM-84 Harpoon missiles.

On the ground, there is a F-16D Block 52+ from 145SQN based in Changi Airbase. The F-16D Block 52+ is easily distinguished by the Conformal Fuel Tanks on the wings which further extends it’s range. Capabilities are also much improved from the Block 52 versions.
