At any airshow, one of the eagerly looked forward to pre-show photo opportunities is the arrival of the main and supporting aircraft for both static and flying segments of the event. Some of these aircraft are appearing in that particular airshow skies for the first time, and it’s also the opportunity to catch them in flight. The Singapore Airshow is no exception and this year sees the debut over the local skies of the Boeing B777-9 and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited’s (HAL) Tejas Light Combat Aircraft (LCA).
Arrivals, or fly-ins, are usually spread over a few days with varying times, as the aircraft arrive from various starting points, and this makes part of the excitement of aircraft spotting. Weather will also play a part as some arrivals may be in the middle of rain.
