NATO Tiger Meets are annual two week air exercise organized by the NATO Tiger Association and hosted in different air bases in Europe. This gathering offers an excellent opportunity for the members of the association to meet up and participate in various training exercises and social activities. On top of closed door events, there were also spotters days organized by the hosting squadron to engage the public. NATO Tiger Meet 2017 is hosted by the Flottille 11F of the French Navy at it’s base at BAN Landivisiau this year.

The key feature of the any Tiger Meet is the painting of tiger themed livery on an aircraft from each participating squadron. For NATO Tiger Meet 2017, the host nation fully demonstrated their creativity in amazing paint jobs on three Rafales, the E-2C Hawkeye, Tigre and Gazelle helicopters! As would be expected, the Rafale M from the host squadron, 11F was awarded the “Best Painted Tiger Aircraft” winner with its amazing White Tiger Livery.

BAN Landivisiau is located east of Brest in Brittany, about 600km from Paris. We attended the second of the two scheduled spotters days and was treated with some of the best in European air power from the participants namely, Rafale M from 11F, Rafale C/B from French Air Force, F/A-18C/D Hornets from Swiss Air Force, Saab 105s from Austria, F-16A/B MLUs from the Dutch and Belgium Air Forces, JAS-39C/D Gripens from Czechoslovakia, EF2000 Typhoons from Italian Air Force and a mix of various helicopters and support aircraft.

Following are pictures from the second spotters day event of every single aircraft that took off on that day. For more information on the Squadrons involved, please check out the official NTM2017 site. Do check out our NTM2017 Gallery for more images.
