The Singapore Airshow 2026 returns for its milestone 10th edition, taking place from 3 to 8 February 2026 at the Changi Exhibition Centre. The biennial event is once again expected to set new records, with 110,000 attendees, 1,000 participating companies from over 50 countries and regions, and 16 country pavilions collectively representing the largest exhibition floor space in the show’s history. There will be 37 assets on static display and the flying display will feature eight acts, six from air forces and two from commercial aircraft manufacturers.

Asia-Pacific Driving a Buoyant Industry

At a press conference held on 1 February 2026, Mr Leck Chet Lam, Managing Director of Experia Events, organiser of the Singapore Airshow, shared that “as aviation and defence adapt to shifts driven by sustainability and digitalisation, the Singapore Airshow provides a neutral setting for stakeholders to engage and build partnerships with long-term relevance.”

He added that “reaching our 10th edition reflects how the Singapore Airshow has grown alongside the industry, and how its role continues to expand — particularly as Asia-Pacific continues to drive global aviation growth.”

Reflecting the industry’s healthy post-pandemic recovery, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) reported that in 2025, Asia-Pacific passenger and cargo traffic grew 9% year-on-year, accounting for 52% of global growth. Total airline profitability is forecast to reach a record US$41 billion in 2026, a 4.5% increase compared to 2025. In Asia-Pacific, load factors are projected to hit 84.4% in 2026, an all-time high for the region.

The region is also accelerating sustainable aviation through early Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) mandates, expanding regional production capacity, and growing investments. In Singapore, the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) will introduce a first-of-its-kind SAF levy this year to meet the nation’s 1% SAF uplift target, with a progressive increase to 3–5% by 2030.

Singapore as a Global Aerospace Hub

Ms Cindy Koh, Executive Vice President of the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), highlighted Singapore’s strong position in capturing Asia-Pacific growth as a trusted and stable aerospace hub.

Pointing to two key tailwinds — robust aircraft demand and airlines extending operating lifecycles due to supply chain delays affecting new deliveries — Ms Koh noted that “these present opportunities for Singapore as companies tap on our established and reliable manufacturing ecosystem,” while also creating “strong demand for MRO and aftermarket services.”

Singapore is home to over 130 aerospace companies, undertaking a wide spectrum of nose-to-tail activities across MRO, manufacturing, and aftermarket services.

In 2024, the aerospace sector grew 19% in manufacturing output and 32% in value-add year-on-year. The sector accounts for approximately 1% of Singapore’s GDP, while supporting the wider air and aviation hub that contributes about 5% of GDP. Singapore’s competitiveness in advanced manufacturing has enabled companies to produce critical components locally and deliver high-quality MRO work for mission-critical aircraft systems.

Looking ahead, Ms Koh shared that “Singapore is enhancing its aerospace and aviation reliability through ecosystem-wide investments and upgrades to critical infrastructure to handle growing air traffic with greater precision and safety.” She added that Singapore’s R&D centres are deepening innovation capabilities through strategic government–industry research partnerships, while efforts continue to build career resilience and create new jobs for Singaporeans.

Singapore Airshow 2026 – New Frontiers

This year’s edition introduces three new initiatives aimed at delivering a more relevant and value-added experience for global participants.

The inaugural Space Summit will be held from 2 to 3 February 2026 at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands. Organised under the theme “New Frontiers: Shaping a Responsible and Inclusive Space Future,” the summit is supported by Singapore’s Office for Space Technology & Industry (OSTIn) and the EDB, and will feature 12 discussion panels with over 60 C-suite speakers and panellists.

With the in-space economy forecast by McKinsey to reach US$1.8 trillion by 2035, Mr Lam noted that the launch of Space Summit 2026 reflects “the maturation and growth of the Singapore Airshow, where it is timely to develop the space segment into a dedicated platform.” He added that this allows international aviation stakeholders visiting Singapore to efficiently attend both events.

For the first time, the Singapore Airshow has brought together the industry’s “movers and shakers.” These include:

  • New technology pioneers such as Horizon Aircraft, RADA, Vertical Aerospace, and Wisk
  • AI enablers including Anduril, ATREYO, Helsing, and Shield AI
  • Dual-use innovators such as Aireon, Gogo, Q-CTRL, and Quantum-Systems
  • Sustainability leaders including Airbus, Boeing, Honeywell, and Neste

Together with the AeroForum, which addresses themes such as autonomy, dual-use technologies, sustainable aviation, and Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), visitors will gain a comprehensive view of emerging capabilities and technologies shaping the industry.

The Singapore Airshow will also debut AeroLens, a curated photography exhibition presented in partnership with Plane’s Portrait Aviation Media and MAphotoSG. The exhibition will be available online via the official Singapore Airshow website, as well as onsite at an art wall located in Hall A near Function Room 5.
